The Novi Dvor Palace was built on an old palace built by Prince Knez Mihailova, in the former Pionirski Park, which once served as the palace garden and is now a public park for all use.
This palace was built specifically for the residence of the Karageorgevich dynasty, from 1911 to 1922. It has 4 floors and an impressive dome. Inside, there are luxurious living rooms, a dining room as well as a library, furniture and interior design in the King Louis XIV style, and of course bedrooms.
After the royal family left it, the palace served as a museum. Later, it became a government building and today the president of Serbia sits there and serves as the official President of the Republic of Serbia.
