Rijsttafel, a dish brought to the Netherlands from Indonesia, collected dishes from all over the Indonesian islands and became a classic and fascinating dish, a national food in the Netherlands. Although all dishes have the same sauce, rijsttafel is based on a variety of flavors and textures of food.
At the center of the common table for several diners, the waiters place a large white rice plate or rice plates on the heating pads. Around them are a variety of small plates and bowls with a variety of types of meat - including chicken, beef, pork, fish, seafood, vegetables, mushrooms and more.
