Here you can see classic cars, trucks and motorcycles, from the types that starred in the streets of Hollywood in the 1930's and 1940's to the most modern and expensive vehicles of our day. Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Mercedes and Ford - there is representation of various vehicles, from classic tanks to the desired brands and supermodels of today.
The museum is also recommended for children, who can experience driving here on vehicles and learn how to make them.
The Peterson Museum, which deals with the history of the automotive world, opened in 1994 with an investment of $40 million. Initially it was located within the Museum of Natural History of Los Angeles. Later, it moved to his current location, which enabled the display of all exhibits, without harmful exposure to sunlight. In 2015 the museum underwent extensive renovation totaling $125 million.
The vehicles displayed here span 25 galleries and another part of the collection is located on the basement level. The variety here is great and car enthusiasts can spend a few hours here enjoying it. On the first floor you can see the collection of cars when it is displayed. The second floor deals with automotive engineering and the automotive industry, design, implementation and interactive study exhibitions. On the third floor you will learn about the history of the American automobile industry, famous racing drivers and their stories, and more.
