The museum describes the historical and cultural development of the city of Burgas, its inhabitants and their activities, from the end of the 19th century until the beginning of the 20th century. To address things in the overall historical context, it also deals with the history of the whole of Bulgaria.
The exhibition includes documents, original exhibits, pictures of personalities and various events that influenced the history of the city.
Even if the connection is not understood, alongside the historical exhibits there is an impressive art collection, where the best works of art from Europe of the 18th and 19th centuries are displayed. You can see glass and porcelain works, bronze sculptures and a variety of paintings from France, Italy, Germany, Austria and more.
